ABOUT the companies:

Ariel Rivka Dance (ARD) is a female/non-binary contemporary dance company based in New Jersey, led by Artistic Director Ariel Grossman. The company creates a space for open-hearted movement collaborations rooted in women's experiences. With live performances, global touring, and workshops for all ages, ARD transcends the stage by exploring individual stories that connect to the broader community — building a community of vulnerability, acceptance, hope, and connection through movement.

Matthew Westerby Company (MWC) is a New York-based contemporary dance company founded in 2009 (nonprofit since 2017), based in Upper Manhattan. Led by British-American choreographer Matthew Westerby, the company's mission is to build community through dance — creating access to the performing arts regardless of age, experience level, or ability to pay, and engaging communities as both participants and audience. The Company's work is shaped by Westerby's experience as an LGBTQ+ immigrant New Yorker, grounding itself in equity, inclusion, and human connection.
